July 12 through July 18, 2016
I think it might be harder posting once a week than posting everyday because I have to choose what to tell, and what to leave out. However, that is really good practice for a writer. So, I thought I would just share a few pictures from the week.
July 12th: Piglet’s birthday as a butterfly.
July 13th: My love in a right triangle—found it.
If I use one estimate of photon mass from galactic magnetic fields of 3 x 10¯²7 and I accumulate 6.022 x 10²³ photons, which would be six hundred and two sextillion, two hundred quintillion photons . . .
Now you’re wishing you were a mole and could dig your way out, right? (grin) What does that have to do with my writing? ♥ = Nc∞
July 14th: Are you looking at me? I’m looking at the future.
July 15th: Today, this is the day I want to share with you. I held my breath as I stared at the honeycomb structure; oxygen atoms lined up in obedience to their chemical nature. People often tell me science makes things seem sterile, but when I see the beauty of an atom – yes, the actual atom in a surface science experiment with atomic level chemistry – it takes my breath with its depth of elegance, consistent bonds, strength of character, and uninhibited attraction.
Today was a moment of balance and I want to remember it; science and art danced together like a dragon spreading its wings and lifting into the air to prove it’s not only possible, but in principle necessary to free its talons.
It is a perfectly balanced day when you can appreciate both the beauty of your wings and the strength of your talons.
My Dragon’s Wing and Talon (didn’t want to get too serious on you;)
July 16th: Outsmarted the animals in my yard—and it was delicious.
July 17th: My Asiatic lilies bloomed and I saw three humming birds (they were too fast for my camera skills). It’s been an amazing week.
July 18th: I didn’t forget, I have the Sudoku puzzle # 3 answer if you need it below.
